EMAILPDFS / CONVERSION GUIDE

Convert emails to PDF with reviewed attachments

“Attachments included” can mean rendered pages, embedded original files or a list of filenames. EmailPDFs asks you to review each attachment’s disposition. Supported renditions can appear after their email; unsupported files require original-only treatment or explicit exclusion.

What happens to each attachment?

ItemSupported treatmentImportant limit
Supported raster imagesRender as PDF pages, retain original-only, or exclude.Plan byte/page limits and safe decoder checks apply.
Supported PDF filesRender safe raster pages, retain original-only, or exclude.Derived pages lose searchable attachment text, active links, forms and signatures. They are not the original signed PDF.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV and other unsupported filesRetain original-only with originals included, or explicitly exclude. No Office-to-PDF conversion, spreadsheet execution or OCR.
Attached EML/MSG or an RTF-only messageOriginal-only or explicit exclusion. No recursive email attachment conversion or RTF body rendering.

An example of an explicit exclusion

The kickoff sample’s second email has checklist.csv. Its contents are not converted into PDF pages. Choose Exclude and the exceptions report records that decision; the combined pack still contains both reviewed email bodies and its index. Inspect the actual example ZIP and reports.

When should I include originals?

If a recipient needs the unsupported file itself, choose Original only and turn on Include unmodified originals in delivery settings. Originals are off by default and can retain Bcc, metadata, scripts/macros and other unsafe contents. Keep your own originals; the temporary service is not a malware-free archive.

Unresolved attachment decisions block export. Do not treat a readable PDF rendition as proof that the original attachment’s signature or authenticity has been preserved.

Start with EML files or ordinary Outlook MSG mail.

Free output, with clear limits

Free needs no account or payment and produces the same reviewed PDF/report ZIP, without watermarks. Up to 10 messages and 25 MiB of input per run, 50 pages per run, and 10 new source conversions / 100 pages per rolling 24-hour session. One retained Free project; all limits apply together.

Selected files are uploaded for temporary server processing. Free sources expire within 24 hours; downloads expire after 1 hour. Remote content is blocked. Keep your originals and download your pack; this is not an archive or an offline converter.

Paid workspaces require sign-in. Starter ($7.99/month) saves delivery settings. Pro ($17.99/month) adds repeat projects, delta/full exports and optional reviewed AI contents groups. Team ($49.00/month) includes three pooled seats. Compare every plan limit and retention window.
